Republicans Think It Is Too Early For Another Coronavirus Rescue Bill

Republicans in the Senate say that Congress will eventually need to craft yet another significant coronavirus package. But not at the quick pace of  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi has been pressing for the potential passage of another House relief bill by the end of April, which will include a big boost for infrastructure, her GOP colleagues in the Senate, however, say Congress needs to hit take a pause.

Senior GOP lawmakers argue that Congress should see how the $2 trillion stimulus package that was passed last week affects the economy and health care system. 

This Wednesday Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said: “We may need a Phase Four, but we’re not even fully into Phase Three yet.”
