Support Election.org · Built for the public

A better democracy
starts with
better tools.

Help people understand their ballot, follow the money and take part in the decisions that shape their lives.

Election.org is a civic technology platform founded by Jackson Jesionowski and operated by Election Powerhouse, Inc. We turn scattered public records into tools people can actually use.

Start with the work

Public facts.
Practical power.

Explore the platform today. Your support helps us make it more useful, more dependable and available to more people.

What makes us different

One place to understand
how power works.

We connect the ballot, the people in office, the money around them and the decisions they make. The goal is a useful path from a question to a public source—and from understanding to participation.

Evidence you can follow.

Source links, coverage dates and corrections help people check the record for themselves.

A public foundation.

Core public tools stay free. Donor support helps build and maintain them.

The same standard for everyone.

Financial support does not buy favorable records, endorsements or rankings.

Where support can take us

Fund the next useful step.

These are priorities for expansion. For a substantial gift, we can discuss a defined scope, budget and way to report progress before you decide.

01

More complete local coverage

Find, connect and maintain official candidate and office records, especially where local information is hardest to navigate.

02

Reliable public infrastructure

Improve performance, accessibility and source updates so people can use the tools when they need them.

03

Tools other people can build on

Make public data easier for newsrooms, researchers and civic builders to reuse through documented APIs and downloads.

Our long-term vision

A democracy people
can understand.
And help improve.

We want to help make critical thinking, transparency and participation easier at a much greater scale. That means clearer information about who governs, where money flows, what legislation changes and what people want government to do.

Our ambition is to build a foundation for informed election reform: tools to examine proposals, understand tradeoffs and take part in improving how democracy works. We’re building toward that future, one public tool at a time.

A note from the founder

Let’s build something
worth believing in.

“I’m building Election.org because people should be able to understand the decisions that affect them and have a real way to take part. We currently operate at a loss. Your support gives us more room to build, improve and expand the tools. My goal is a more transparent democracy and a better world.”

Large gifts & fiscal sponsorship

Have a conversation first.

If you would like a call before a larger donation, email Jackson directly. For giving through Systemic Altruism Foundation, ask for the fiscal sponsorship details and approved giving instructions before sending funds.

The foundation’s IRS determination letter dated February 14, 2024 recognizes it as a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 87-2067921). Contact us for current documentation and the appropriate charitable receipt. The direct Stripe gifts on this page support Election Powerhouse, Inc.

Before you give.

What does my gift support?

Development, maintenance and expansion of Election.org’s public civic tools. Priorities include source verification, local coverage, accessibility, performance and reusable public data. Any project-specific use of a major gift is agreed separately.

Who receives an online donation?

The Stripe links on this page pay Election Powerhouse, Inc., the operator of Election.org. They are one-time gifts and do not renew. They are separate from any gift arranged through a fiscal sponsor. We do not promise a tax deduction for this direct support.

Can I speak with the founder before a large gift?

Yes. Email jackson@election.org to arrange a call with Jackson Jesionowski. You can discuss the mission, a funding priority and the appropriate giving route before deciding.

Does giving affect public records or political coverage?

No. The same source and correction standards apply to everyone. Gifts support the platform; they do not purchase an endorsement, favorable treatment or a contribution to a candidate or PAC.
