Current Election.org coverage
Official registry and current-cycle transaction adapter live.
OFFICIAL DATA LIVEConnecticut current-cycle receipt and disbursement rows are connected from eight official SEEC annual downloads covering party/PAC and candidate/exploratory committees. Original and amendment rows remain separately included because the extracts provide no transaction replacement identity; individual contributors and all unclassified payees are withheld. Municipal filings outside SEEC's repository, federal filings, audited totals, and entity resolution remain outside this adapter's stated scope.

Exact signed sum of official Connecticut SEEC receipt-download rows dated 2025-01-01 through 2026-08-29. Original and amendment rows remain separately included because the public extracts do not provide transaction-level replacement identifiers. They are not total receipts: reporting thresholds, late reports, summary filings, and other transaction tables have different scope.

The raw receipt CSVs contain contributor names, street addresses, cities, states, ZIP codes, occupations, employers, and contractor or lobbyist flags. Election.org processes those fields only in a temporary refresh directory, persists no individual transaction identity or address field, and publishes named contributor aggregates only for receipt types SEEC explicitly classifies as other committees, labor-union or treasury transfers, public grants, or authorized-account interest. The source’s filer-selected entity codes remain available as aggregate counts through the API.

Original and amendment rows remain separately included because the public extracts do not provide transaction-level replacement identifiers. They are not total campaign spending, and source filing schedules remain separately exposed through the API.

The raw disbursement CSVs contain payee names and street-address fields but no reliable person-versus-organization classification. Election.org persists no transaction rows, addresses, locations, descriptions, payment methods, or payee names; all payee identities are withheld rather than inferred from formatting.

SEEC publishes separate annual CSVs for party/PAC and candidate/exploratory committee receipts and disbursements. Raw files are deleted after every refresh; this artifact contains aggregate disclosure facts and public committee or candidate filer identities, not person-level source rows.

How this adapter keeps source claims bounded
Official source adapterIdentify the current government filing/search system and its export or API contract.
Entity resolutionPreserve state IDs and connect candidates, committees, donors, and vendors without guessing identities.
Amendment rulesSEEC says an amendment edits all or part of a prior statement and may include only amended pages. The public CSVs label original and amendment rows but expose no stable transaction ID or replacement pointer. Election.org therefore retains both row classes and does not claim a current-version total.
Fail-closed validationReject incomplete or structurally changed pulls before they can become public totals.
