PUBLIC SERVICE STARTS WITH PEOPLE

Your community.
Your voice.
Your name on the ballot.

You don’t have to wait for a party to invite you. If you care about your neighbors, consider running for office as an independent.

Free starting tools. No account or campaign announcement required.

INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES. A SHARED MOVEMENT.

Run on what you believe.
Build with people who care.

We encourage independent candidacies rooted in service, transparency and accountability. America.co is the movement behind this invitation: a place to share your mission, meet collaborators and help build a flourishing future for all.

Joining the movement does not automatically provide a campaign endorsement or funding. Election.org’s public records remain open to every party and candidate under the same standards.

INTRODUCING OUR BALLOT-ACCESS WORK

Less paperwork.
More public service.

We’re building Open Ballot to make the path from “I want to run” to a reviewed filing easier to navigate. The goal: tell us the essentials once, prepare the right documents and help complete the steps your election authority allows.

Prepare a reviewed packet

In development

A private workspace for your office, requirements, documents and approvals. Preparation software is in local testing; a nationwide public filing service is not yet available.

03

Complete the allowed steps

In development

We’re working toward guided online filing and approved printing and mailing where permitted. Your review, required signatures and any in-person steps remain part of the process.

Rules depend on the office, place and election. Only the responsible election authority can confirm filing acceptance and ballot qualification. Read the FEC’s ballot-access guidance

ONE USEFUL STEP TODAY

Start small.
Take it seriously.

School board, city council, a district or another public office: start by understanding the work and the people you would serve.

A private help request is reviewed by the Election.org team. It does not file paperwork, announce a campaign or subscribe you to a newsletter. For an approaching deadline, contact the official election office directly.
