About this system
The Netherlands Constitution and official government guidance connect direct election of the House of Representatives and provincial councils, indirect election of the Senate, Royal Decree appointment of ministers, parliamentary confidence and scrutiny, bicameral lawmaking, dissolution of either House, and a parliamentary nomination role in Supreme Court appointments. The map does not draw constitutional review of Acts because Article 120 expressly bars it.
No invented arrows. A line is published only when an attached constitution or official institution explicitly supports the relationship. An institution source by itself does not justify an inferred line.

House of Representatives
The directly elected lower House initiates and amends bills, scrutinises ministers, and draws up Supreme Court nomination lists.
Provincial councils
Directly elected provincial bodies whose members choose the Senate after provincial elections.
Senate
The indirectly elected upper House considers bills passed by the House of Representatives and scrutinises government.
The King
Forms part of the Government; Royal Decrees appoint ministers, may dissolve either House, and appoint judges under ministerial responsibility.
Prime Minister and ministers
Are responsible for acts of government, must retain parliamentary confidence, and participate with Parliament in making laws.
Supreme Court
Heads the cassation system and tries specified office-holders for offences in office; it may not review Acts for constitutionality.
