The CalRoster labels county entries elected and appointed officials and does not publish a selection method for each individual role. Election.org therefore does not infer elected or appointed status from the title alone. The Secretary of State notes that each local jurisdiction supplies its own roster data; this is a dated public record, not a live officeholder feed.
